Durango Mesa Park

Three new downhill trails deliver challenges for every skill level.

The final wooden drop on the new black line, Hairball.

In spring 2025, Dirt Tek Trails designed and constructed a new set of directional trails at Durango Mesa Park, helping to establish a fresh gravity riding zone just minutes from downtown Durango. We delivered three progressive downhill trails—green, blue, and black—along with a climbing trail and an access connector to integrate the system with the broader trail network.

Set against wide mesa views and mixed pine terrain, each descent offers a distinct ride experience. The green trail features smooth rollers and gentle grade reversals, the blue brings flow and speed with intermediate tech, and the black delivers steep, tight turns and natural technical features for advanced riders. All three were shaped to carry consistent speed and maximize fun while keeping long-term durability and drainage at the forefront.

The climbing trail and connector create efficient circulation for riders without the need for shuttles, making the downhill zone easily repeatable and accessible.
